Nature Racoons

Copperhead

For many years, the Nature staff would host a Copperhead (the only poisonous snake found in the area) that was caught in Camp for Scouts to see up close.
Milk Snake

Another snake that is native to Camp Horseshoe and would take up residence at the Nature Lodge during Summer Camp is the Milk Snake.
Rabbits

A prized specimen at the Nature Lodge each year was the camp’s only resident poisonous snake, the Copperhead. Today, the Nature Staff is no longer permitted to house this reptile.
