Exhibit Details

Having a functional mug to fill up with water and soda (Scouts) or coffee (Scouters) is necessary during the warm summers and brutal winters at HSR, but having a collectible one is even better. Take a look around in this exhibit to see what muggy fashions have been produced over the years.

Camp Mugs

Display Details

Here are some camp mugs issued by Horseshoe Scout Reservation over the years.

The Horseshoe Scout Reservation mug was designed to reflect the rich traditions of camps Horseshoe and Jubilee (now Ware) operating on the Horseshoe Scout Reservation.

The 1981 Camp mug.

Featuring the White House again in this 1982 version of the Horseshoe Scout Reservation coffee mug.

The council shoulder patch features Chester County Council’s totem – the fox – and this mug follows suit.

Here is a mug of the Octoraro Memorial Lodge with a description of its history on the back.

Celebrating 65 years of the reservation, this mug was issued in 1993.

The 70th anniversary mug issued in 1997.

This mug was issued in honor of long-time Camp Horseshoe Director G. Ernest Heegard.

These clay mugs were produced by ranger Amadeo Salomani, a pottery expert, for sale in the HSR trading posts.

This mug continued with the 2009 memorabilia theme of Eagles.

For the retro feel, HSR sold these snazzy Mason Jar mugs with a sleek two-tone HSR logo.

This camp mug is a hard composite cup that was sold back in the 1990s.
