The Allen Memorial Dining Hall at Camp Horseshoe is named for James K. Allen, the president of the Manufacturer’s Casualty Insurance Co. at the time when the company funded a great deal of the initial construction.

Dan Beard is a campsite at Camp Horseshoe, named after Daniel Carter Beard who was an author, illustrator, and youth leader who founded the Sons of Daniel Boone which later merged with the Boy Scouts of America.

Boonesboro is a campsite at Camp Horseshoe which is primarily a Stockade site.  This campsite is one of the original camping sites constructed at Camp Horseshoe.  It is named after frontiersman Daniel Boone.
