Eagle Grove – HSRAA

An early picture of the Eagle’s Grove taken from the White House or Kindness Center.

Kindness Center, the White House and OA Lodge are all clearly visible in this photo from the 1950’s.

The scenic view of Camp from the Chapel has always been a photographer favorite. The size of the trees in Eagle’s Grove would date this photo to the mid-forties.

CC Cole’s horse, Sandy and the Camp burros, Ramsay and Ishbel, graze on the athletic field around 1930. The newly planted Spruces of Eagle’s Grove and the Swinging Bridge spanning the Octoraro are also visible.

This view from the hill overlooking the Octoraro clearly shows the newly planted Eagle’s Grove, the Camp Road, Dining Hall, White House and Kindness Center.

This early view (circa 1936) shows the young trees of Eagle’s Grove as well as the White House, Kindness Center and Browning Lodge.
