Every few years, Octoraro Lodge #22 hosts conclave at Camp Horseshoe and we list these lovely neckerchiefs here.

Neckerchief Slides

While in olden days the neckerchiefs were simply tied, most commonly Scouts and Scouters use these special items to hold it all together near the neck.

Bronze neckerchief slide — purchased in 74, 75, 77, or 79, according to the contributor.

This Horseshoe Neckerchief Slide was popular in the 1940s.

This slide was popular back at least into the 1970s all the way into the 1990s.

I recall the mysterious nature of Royal Order of Siam ceremony especially the magical elixir given after eating the worm and the constant loud reminders from the peanut gallery (Pete from Health Lodge) that “you’re eating a worm!”. -Mark Mackowiak
